The Health Program is to improve on the well-being for community members.

Through Meds and Nets, COBURWAS facilitates mosquito net distribution for an American NGO, Think Humanity (www.thinkhumanity.org).

Through HIV/AIDS Prevention, COBURWAS spreads knowledge to the community about disease transmission and treatment.

The Sensitization program encourages good practices in hygiene, sanitation, food, and nutrition.

Meds and Nets is a project within Think Humanity, a non-profit organization whose mission is "to provide a positive change for refugees in Africa"

Malaria is a disease of the blood that is transmitted to people by infected mosquitoes. Malaria is preventable and treatable. To fight this disease, we must provide refugees with treated bed nets and make anti-malaria drugs, such as Coartem available.

Between December 2007 and June 2009, the Think Humanity organization has distributed approximately 8,000long-lasting treated mosquito nets in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement.

Think Humanity managers are all leaders in the COBURWAS Club. Along with the project manager, Emmanuel Nsabimana, they organize each net distribution. Together with the great volunteerism of the COBURWAS Club members, community leaders and pastors we can help eliminate the economic burden, suffering and death caused by malaria.

Since January 2009, Think Humanity has helped those afflicted with HIV/AIDS. Also we are in the process of providing birthing kits to expectant mothers. In 2009 we partnered with the Azur Christian Clinic to provide healthcare to students at the Girls Hoima Hostel and the children at the COBURWAS Learning Centre.

COBURWAS Club has expanded to the Kyaka II Camp and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where Think Humanity would like partner to distribute nets in the future.
